"...I'm most grateful for the
principles of respect, honesty, and
hard work..."
"Beyond Sports Taekwondo has
changed our family! Yes, my boys are
learning to be great martial
artists... strong, confident and
able to defend themselves,... but
I'm most grateful for the principles
of respect, honesty, and hard work
that are shaping them into great
young men. The "Yes, Ma'am", on and
off the mat, is my favorite! In
today's world of changing values,
I'm so happy to have an
extracurricular activity that
focuses on these areas for my
children. Beyond Sports Taekwondo
provides that for us!"

"...she has been able to gain
self confidence and feel like she is
important..."
"Lexi has been taking taekwondo
for about 2 years. She started out
doing gymnastics and realized it
wasn't for her, so she decided to
try taekwondo. She is a very shy
individual and has a hard time being
the center of attention and speaking
loud, and feels very out of place
when it comes to most things, like
talking to and looking adults in the
eye when she speaks to them. Having
her in taekwondo has been one the
best things for her, she has been
able to gain some self-confidence
and feel like she is important
outside of our home and family. Lexi
has grown immensely in the past two
years, she is still somewhat shy,
but is coming out of her shell quite
nicely. I owe a lot of her
discipline and self-esteem to having
her doing taekwondo, the instructors
and Master Taralyn have had a huge
impact on her and who she is
becoming! I don't have the words to
describe my gratitude towards the
program and especially the leaders
to let them know how much it has
benefitted our little Lexi, for the
amazing person she is becoming
because of them."

"I am grateful for all that my
kids have learned through the Beyond
Sports program. "Fun" was
just a part of it!"
"Our family has benefited in so many
ways by participating in the
programs at Beyond Sports
Taekwondo. When my three youngest
children were each about 5 years
old, I enrolled them in the Tiny
Tiger program so they could
participate in a “fun” class. That
was eight years ago. I have realized
that “fun” wasn’t the only benefit
my kids received at Beyond
Sports. They learned and practiced
safety skills for many different
real life situations. They learned
self defense and appropriate times
to use these skills. They met new
friends. They were reminded to show
respect, to set an example, and be
honest. Taekwondo became a new skill
they worked hard to acquire and were
proud of. They learned the value of
commitment and follow through. They
were also able to participate in
service projects, parties, and other
fun activities. All the while, my
kids' confidence increased. I have
appreciated the teachers and staff,
their willingness to work with our
family, the flexibility in the
classes offered, and making sure our
needs have been met. I am grateful
for all that my kids have learned
and benefited through the Beyond
Sports program, and “fun” was just a
part of it!"

"I am so grateful to have
discovered this little haven of
goodness for my children."
"We first started our son at
Beyond Sports two summers ago to
give him exercise and confidence.
Little did we know how much more
this taekwondo studio would give
us! After supporting him at a couple
of belt testings, another son and
two daughters begged to get
involved, and it became a fantastic
Christmas present to them! We've
seen so many benefits to our four
children, ages 8, 11, 14, and 19:
They are definitely stronger
physically. They are more mentally
tough and capable. They are much
more equipped to defend themselves
against an attack or bullying. They
are more self-assured. We've loved
that they have been required to
write a character-trait
report and perform at least one hour
of service for each rank
advancement; It has made them more
sensitive to developing traits such
as integrity and perseverance,
and we've noticed they are more
willing to serve and lead. The
teachers at this studio are all
remarkable. They are kind,
enthusiastic, and interested in the
one. They instill focus, strength,
courage, and respect in their
students. There is a positive
atmosphere at this studio that is
unique and very appreciated. I am so
grateful to have discovered this
little haven of goodness for my
children! They are all excitedly
working towards their black belts,
and I gladly look forward to
supporting them on their journeys."
